There’s never been a more important time to put our heads together and re-imagine tourism in the Camden-Rockland Region! Join the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce for “Tourism Tuesdays”, a series of timely conversations designed to kick-start the 2021 season.
Starting on March 16, and running for four consecutive Tuesdays through April 6, you will hear from different experts each week and have ample opportunity to interact and ask questions.
Each Tourism Tuesday will be an hour in length and presented as a stand-alone experience. Choose the topics most appealing to you, or stock your tourism toolbox by attending all four!

Maine Office of Tourism Director Steve Lyons provides a preliminary overview of MOT’s 2021 plans, a review of tourism trends and projections, and details regarding the state’s new “Look Out for ME” campaign to protect our outdoor resources that are seeing higher human traffic during the pandemic. The Maine Office of Tourism is a state agency that is part of the Maine Department of Economic & Community Development.

How is Maine’s Midcoast being marketed for 2021? Walter and Dave will share details of the MM&I’s brand new website and print collateral materials. They’ll also address ways to access the resources of the tourism region including how to pitch story ideas for features, or sharing information about your business to be included on the MM&I website. Walter and Dave hail from CD&M Communications in Portland, which manages marketing efforts for the Maine’s Midcoast & Islands tourism region on behalf of the Maine Office of Tourism.
